Welcome to the present edition of Foundations of Human Resource Management. This book is primarily written according to the new curriculum prescribed by the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University, for the students of BBA/BBM/BIM/BBA-Finance/BHM/BTTM. It covers the entire curriculum in a simple and understandable language. Hence, we are confident that this book will prove very useful to the students who aspire to become HR managers.
The study of HRM forms important aspects of the study of any management discipline. In this regard, this book provides important concepts and practices of human resource management. It also discusses some of the HR practices in Nepalese contexts. This book is also helpful for Officer Level Competitive Examination of Public Service Commission, Public Enterprises, Universities, Private Sectors, NGOs, and INGOs. The purpose of this book is to present the concepts, principles, and practices of HRM in such a way that they may be easily intelligible not only to the students of management discipline but also its practitioners such as supervisors, managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
